Privacy notice
This notice covers fili.ai and the Fili beta waitlist: what we keep when you join, why, where, for how long, and how to have it changed or deleted. We will never sell your data.
Who holds your details
Fountech.ai Limited holds them and decides how they are used. Fili is incubated by Fountech. Company number HE 372766, registered in Cyprus. Registered office: Evripidou 12A, Agia Zoni, 3031 Limassol, Cyprus.
You can write to us about anything in this notice at nik@fountech.ai.
What we keep when you join
Only what the form asks for, and what we need to run the list:
- Your email address.
- Your first name, if you give it.
- Whose care you look after, if you choose an answer: a parent, a child, yourself, or someone else. This is not health information about anyone, and we do not ask for any.
- The country you live in.
- When you agreed to join, and which version of this notice you agreed to.
- Whether you have confirmed your address or unsubscribed, and when.
- How you reached the site: the campaign tags on the link you followed, if it had any, and the page that linked to us, if your browser shares it. We use this only to learn which of our posts and adverts bring people to the beta.
- A one-way scrambled form of your internet address, to stop automated sign-ups. It is deleted the next time someone joins after it is a day old. We never keep the address itself.
Why we keep them
To run the beta waitlist: to confirm your address, to tell you about the Fili beta, and to send you a link when your place opens. We write when there is news, and not in between.
We rely on your consent, which you give with the tick box when you join. You can withdraw it at any time, and that does not affect what we did before. The scrambled internet address is kept under our legitimate interest in keeping the list free of automated sign-ups. An unsubscribed entry is kept under our legitimate interest in not writing to you again.
Where they are kept
Your details are stored in the European Union, encrypted at rest, and can be read only by the site's own servers and the people at Fountech who run the beta. No key that can open them is ever sent to a browser.
The companies that host this site and its store work for us under contract and may use your details only to provide that service. Where any of them can reach your details from outside the UK or the European Economic Area, they do so under the safeguards the law requires, such as the standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum to them.
We will never sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it for anything other than the waitlist and the beta.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. While you are on the site, your browser holds the link you arrived by for that tab only, so it can be sent with your sign-up; it is gone when you close the tab. The host keeps ordinary request logs, which include internet addresses, for a short period on its own rotation, to run and protect the service.
How long we keep them
Until you ask us to delete them. This includes an entry whose address was never confirmed. If you unsubscribe, we keep your entry, marked as unsubscribed, so that we do not write to you again. If you join the beta, the beta's own privacy notice takes over.
Unsubscribing and deletion
Every email from us has a link that stops our emails straight away. Your entry stays, marked as unsubscribed. To have your details deleted entirely, write to nik@fountech.ai from the address you joined with. We delete them within one month and tell you when it is done.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your details, to correct them, to delete them, to restrict or object to how we use them, and to have them in a form you can take elsewhere. Write to us and we will answer within a month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK, to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus, or to the data protection authority where you live. We would like the chance to put it right first.
Children
The waitlist is for adults. Please do not join if you are under 18.
Changes to this notice
If we change what we keep or why, we will update this page and its date, and we will email you before any change that affects you takes effect.
